The small team building Ketpy
A profitable, bootstrapped studio of educators-turned-engineers. We build software the way we wish more people would: thoughtfully, slowly, with a long view.
Education first, engineering second
Gepton was founded in 2018 by educators-turned-engineers. Half our company has worked inside a school as a teacher, trustee, or administrator — which is why our product road map looks the way it does.
We split our work roughly 70/30: most of our energy goes to Ketpy EMS, the rest to a handful of focused SMB tools (invoicing, websites, signage). Every product we ship is built on the same internal platform — which is why our software feels consistent across categories.

Boring software, on a Friday cadence
No quarterly release cycles. No "Q3 roadmap announcements." Every Friday a release ships, schools feel the product getting better, and we go to chai.
Ship weekly
A release goes out every Friday. No exceptions.
Listen first
Every roadmap idea starts with a real customer story we can name.
Delete code
We remove more lines than we add most weeks. Less is more reliable.
Pick up the phone
A real person answers, in IST hours. No Tier-1 / Tier-2 / Tier-3 hierarchy.
Engineers in four Indian cities
Remote-friendly, with hubs in Gurugram, Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad. We meet in person once a quarter — the rest is Slack.
Gurugram HQ
Product, sales, support — and the chaiwala downstairs who knows our order.
Bengaluru
Backend + DevOps. The folks who keep your data backed-up at 2 AM.
Pune
Frontend + design. The reason your parent portal feels nice.
Hyderabad
QA + customer onboarding. They've seen every Indian school edge case.
Remote across India
A few engineers + writers contributing from smaller cities.
The schools
Our biggest team is the 2,000+ schools who tell us what to build next.
A few things we hold to, on a postcard
Ship quality, not features.
We delete more code than we add. Every line we write has to earn its keep.
Real humans answer support tickets.
No bot. No queue. The engineer who wrote the feature is the one who replies.
When we don't have an opinion, the customer wins.
On taste-level decisions, your school's preference outweighs ours.
India-first. The rest of the world later.
We have zero interest in being everywhere. We have huge interest in being right for India.
Pricing in rupees, not dollars.
Our cost structure is Indian. Your invoice should reflect that.
No surveillance, ever.
We don't track which student opened what, when. Schools have enough of that already.
