Why Ketpy, not the others
We've spent years watching schools try other tools, then come back. Here's the honest list of where Ketpy wins — and the two places we're upfront about not competing.
Built for India, not adapted to it
Other ERPs are western templates with the rupee symbol pasted on. We start from RBI-compliant fee receipts, GST-registered invoices, CBSE/ICSE/state-board exam logic, 22 regional languages on the parent app, and DLT-registered SMS templates out of the box.
One subscription, every module
Most platforms charge per-module so the price climbs as you grow. Ketpy is one inclusive subscription — admissions, fees, attendance, library, transport, hostel, payroll, AI assistants — everything's on day one. Pricing scales only with student count.
Parents who actually use it
We re-tested every parent screen on a ₹6,000 Android phone with 4G. WhatsApp-style notifications, big tap targets, multi-language, offline-first. 96% of parent users log in at least once a week — most competitors hover at ~40%.

Setup in days, not months
We've onboarded a 1,500-student school in eight working days, with full data migration from their old ERP. Our setup wizard does 80% of the work; our humans do the other 20% over WhatsApp. No "implementation partner" required.

AI that earns its keep
Ten focused AI assistants — defaulter prediction, attendance pattern alerts, auto report-card remarks, smart timetable optimisation, and more. Every prediction is explainable, every draft is editable, every model can be switched off per school. No black box.
A team that picks up the phone
Our support team is in Gurugram, not an offshore call centre. Median first response on WhatsApp: 8 minutes. We do not have a Tier-1 → Tier-2 → Tier-3 hierarchy. If something is broken, the engineer who fixed it last week is the one replying to you.

Where Ketpy is not the right fit
We'd rather you find the right software, even if it isn't us. Here are two situations where we'll point you elsewhere on the first call.
Very large universities (20,000+ students, multi-state)
For multi-state universities with 20,000+ students and 100+ specialised micro-workflows, we recommend speaking to enterprise-tier vendors first. We optimise for K-12 + small-to-medium colleges where ease beats configurability.
Schools that need on-premise hosting
Ketpy is cloud-first by design — we run on encrypted Indian servers and that's how we keep the price low and the updates weekly. If your IT policy mandates strict on-premise hosting, we're not the right fit (yet).
