Step-by-step guides for parents.

Sign in for the first time (parent app PIN)

Your school has already created your parent account — you just need to claim it with the welcome SMS.

  1. Download the Ketpy Parent app from Play Store or App Store. Or open parents.your-school.ketpy.com on any browser.
  2. You will have received an SMS from the school with your registered mobile number and a 6-digit activation code.
  3. Tap First-time sign in, enter your mobile number, and submit the activation code.
  4. Set a 4-digit PIN for daily use — this is faster than typing a password every time.
  5. Enable fingerprint / face unlock when prompted — recommended for fee payments.
  6. You are in! The dashboard shows your child's attendance, recent marks, fee dues, and today's timetable.

Tip

Lost the welcome SMS? Call the school office and ask for a <strong>re-invite</strong> — they can resend it in 10 seconds.

Pay fees online (UPI / cards / netbanking)

Settle term fees, transport, or any custom heads from the app — receipt arrives instantly on email and WhatsApp.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Fees. Unpaid heads show up first with the due date in red.
  2. Tap any pending head to see the breakup (tuition, transport, exam, late-fee if any).
  3. Tap Pay now. Pick part-payment (if your school allows it) or the full amount.
  4. Choose UPI (Google Pay / PhonePe / Paytm), Card, Netbanking, or UPI QR.
  5. Complete the payment in the bank/UPI app. You will return to Ketpy with a green tick.
  6. Download the official GST-compliant receipt from the same screen. A copy lands on your registered email and WhatsApp within 2 minutes.

Tip

UPI is the cheapest — most schools waive convenience fees on UPI but charge 1-2% on credit cards.

Track the school bus live (geofence alerts)

See exactly where the bus is, and get a ping when it is 5 minutes from your stop.

  1. Open Dashboard → Transport. If your child uses the bus, a live map appears.
  2. You will see the bus icon moving in real time, the driver's name and phone, and the conductor's contact.
  3. Tap Set my stop and drop a pin on your pickup location — Ketpy will send a push alert when the bus is within 500 metres.
  4. Toggle Boarding/De-boarding SMS in Settings → Notifications to get an SMS the moment your child taps in or out.
  5. If the bus is delayed by more than 10 minutes, the route has an automatic red banner with the new ETA.

Tip

During monsoon, share the live-track link with grandparents using the <strong>Share location</strong> button — they can watch the bus without needing the app.

Apply for your child's leave

Inform the class teacher in advance — Ketpy auto-marks attendance correctly so it does not affect 75% rules.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Leave and tap + Apply leave.
  2. Pick the child (if you have more than one), then select From date and To date.
  3. Choose the reason: Medical, Family function, Travel, or Other.
  4. Type a short note for the teacher. For medical leave above 3 days, attach a doctor's certificate (PDF or photo).
  5. Tap Submit. The class teacher gets a push notification and usually approves within a few hours.
  6. You can track the status — Pending / Approved / Rejected — from the same screen.

Read notices and book PTM slots

School circulars, holiday lists, and Parent-Teacher-Meeting bookings — all in one feed.

  1. Open Dashboard → Notices. Unread notices have a blue dot; tap to read.
  2. Attachments (PDF circulars, fee schedules) can be downloaded with the download icon.
  3. When a PTM is announced, you will see a Book slot button on the notice itself.
  4. Pick a 10/15-minute slot from the available calendar — slots fill on first-come-first-served basis.
  5. You will get a confirmation SMS with the room number and a calendar invite. Show up 5 minutes early!
  6. For online PTMs, the slot card has a Join meeting button that opens 5 minutes before your time.

Switch between multiple children

If two or more of your kids study at the same school, manage everyone from a single login.

  1. Look at the top of the dashboard — your child's name and photo appear next to a small dropdown arrow.
  2. Tap the dropdown to see all linked children. Pick the one you want to view.
  3. The entire dashboard — attendance, fees, marks, timetable — instantly switches to that child.
  4. For combined fee payment, go to Fees → Pay for all children to settle dues together in one UPI transaction.
  5. Missing a sibling from the dropdown? Go to Settings → My family and tap + Link another child using their admission number.

Tip

Notifications are colour-coded by child (blue/pink/green) so you instantly know which kid the alert is about.
